In our opinion, a model that has not been created conflict-free, and with constructability at front of mind is bordering on more harmful than helpful.

Constructability Reviews
Taking a complex structure and making it conflict free is a science. Taking that complex structure and making it constructable is an art.
Constructability is much more than resolving conflicts. It is drawing on decades of experience from similar projects and knowing what worked and what didn’t. It is appreciating the unique nature of the project site, be it at high elevation, over land or over water. It is understanding the specifics of the structure type, post-tensioned, precast, cast-in-place, super-structure or sub-structure and the development of optimized details.
Perhaps most importantly, constructability is the translation of the designer’s intent and requirements into the most efficient and effective construction operations utilizing the constructors preferred means and methods.
Constructability goes beyond mere problem solving. Achieving constructability from complexity is art.

At Hatcher Technical we take pride in providing drawing documentation that is right the first time. Because everything is constructed in the field from our drawings, we take care to make sure the drawings reflect construction realities and site or project specific needs.
